December Gathering

Whiteyes listened silently, as always. though he wasn't a medicine cat any longer he still felt the need to listen, and analyze what every leader said, looking for a hidden message when there was none.

Yes, perhaps... Brightstar murmured back. But Falconstar was right, this was not the time to speak of such things. Cadell would also need a place to meet with all five of them, she would have to speak with Wiseheart next time she appeared here or in StarClan, but for now, the Gathering was starting. Brightstar waited paitenly for her turn. When it came she stepped forward, glad all the Clans were doing well, and not surprised by SkyClan's actions. StormClan is thriving. The prey is running well and there is no shortage of water. Our patrols will also increase from tonight on. Falconstar has the right idea, we must protect ourselves from IceClan at any cost! Brightstar finished and then stepped back.

Finally, Sparrowflight thought to herself. Some sense is being made. Skyclan seemed to be all about the mercy and protection these days for outsiders, but the protection of the borders was trivial. Sparrowflight hoped she could make Falconstar see reason when they got back to camp. Perhaps there they would have the oppurtunity to discuss different options. For now though, the deputy would be leading many more border patrols.

Petals contemplated the motives of the others leaders. She wasn't sure if she should consider increasing her patrols or not, so far she had had not dealings with Iceclan, but that didn't mean that it wasn't going to happed. What if they were attacked and no one could warn her clan? But she also had to worry about keeping her clan feed and strong. What if they spent so much time patrolling and her cats weren't fed enough and a battle did come, but no one had the strength to fight? What would she do then? There was so much to worry about and so little time to find solutions.

Lilysong considered what each leader had said, she could understand the worries that went through each cats mind, but was it worth it. It might do good to protect the clan, but what about the cats health. TO much patrolling would make them tired, more prone to harming themselves. Either way she had a lot of work to do. With gathering herbs and such, she just hoped she would have an apprentice Soon to help her with all the work.
