Icerose was surprised to suddenly feel Cadell gone and looked over. Cadell?
Frozenwinter came to stand by her daughter. Don't worry little one. Give him time, and more importantly help him on his journey. she said kindly. Icerose nodded and with one last lick form ehr mother was gone.
Aw, I didn't get to say th eprophecy. Brightstar complained. Silverstar sighed, I always thought you were more dignafied.
Brightstar grinned, Nope. Well time to go report in. With that said Brightstar walked away to leave StarClan to their own devieces.
~
Cadell? Icerose mumbled as she awoke. She got to her feet and stretched herself out and looked around for Cadell. She was surprised to see he looked like he was in pain. Icerose went over to him and pressed her pelt with his once more, but in the living world. Cadell are you alright?

CADELL all the tiimes that ii've criied all thiis wasted, it's all iinsiide and ii feel all thiis paiin, stuffed iit down, iit's back agaiin
His whole body shrunk away from the pain that was caused by her touch and an instinctive growl came to his throat. His eyes shot open.
It...hurts...
He grunted out, not daring to move. It felt like every bone in his body was broken or bruised. However, he forced himself up into his paws. His legs quaked and he almost collapsed again, but he kept himself standing, barely. He carefully walked over to the edge of the altar, feeling weak as a young kit again. But he leaped down, and, as he landed, his legs crumpled beneath him and he yowled in pain, unable to get himself up again.

Icerose took a step away from Cadell as he shrunk away, but she almost immediatly took that step back forward when he said it hurts. She dared not touch him, but followed his every movement with a worried look on her face. When he jumped down she jumped down, though she didn't collaspe as he did.
Cadell..Cadell... Icerose whispered as she came to stand beside him. She didn't like how he was in pain, not one bit. It was like a part of ehrself was being hurt as well. She slowly started to lick him with soothing strokes, as a mellow purr rose up in her throat. She hoped the nose would take his mind off the pain/

He whimpered softly and his eyes closed, but the last thing they saw before they did was Icerose licking him, just like his mother used to. He'd inherited almost everything from her, and she had looked so similar to Icerose that, with pain swamping his mind, he fell asleep, thinking that he was a kit again, with his mother watching over him. Before he was in too deep a sleep to not hear them, Starclan's whispers reached him for a short moment in time.
You shouldn't go back that fast...It could kill you...
And then they faded away and his mind went black.

Icerose continued to lick Cadell until she realized he was asleep, thne she curled her body around him and resumed her licking, the purr continueing. She would wait here until he woke, and hopefuly the leader wouldn't come this way. Oh my poor Cadell.. she thought. Then she went into a rhythem. Lick, purr, wait, lick, purr, wait...
~
Icerose's eyes blinked for a moment before she realized she had fallen asleep as well. She lifted her head a bit and her ears twitched listening for sounds as she yawned. Thats when she caught the sound of other cats outside. The leader! She turned back to Cadell and started whispering furiously in his ear. Cadell! Cadell wake u! Come on we have to go!

...huh?
He blinked his eyes open sleepily, then heard the noises. He shot awake in an instant, ignoring the pain. He leaped silently to his feet, assassin's instincts kicking in.
Follow me, and don't make a single noise. Understand?
He didn't wait for an answer as he quietly took off across the room, underneath a pew, then into a back room where the door was hanging off it's hinges a bit. His eyes shot around for something to cover the smell with and found a bowl of stale water. It had rained recently, and there was holes in the top of the two-leg building, so he looked back over at her.
Stay here!
Then, he grabbed it, spilling the water along the path they had tread, then throwing it up as well as he could onto the altar before following it up, grabbing it and leaping back down. He hide in a small alcove just in time as the leader and his procession entered. He made his breathing shallow and slow, so that it couldn't be heard. When the leader was asleep and the others facing the other way, he sprinted back to where Icerose was. He had left the bowl in the alcove, but knew they wouldn't notice. He prodded her into a musty closet, where the smell of old wood and such would cover their scents. And then he stayed absolutely.

Icerose did all that Cadell told her, though her heart still beated fast with fear as the leader came in. She went into the closet as silently as she could, trying to keep her breathing as silent as Cadell's own. It helped that his presence calmed her slightly, even though he was an assasain. She pressed her pelt to his and buried her nose in his fur, closing her eyes she only focused on him. It helped her considerably. Her breathing evened out and she was able to quiet it even more. Her heart went back to its almost normal pace, or as normal as it got around Cadell, and with them being this close too.

He glanced over at her and laid his tail across her chest, signalling her to stay where she was. He crept out and, staying low to the ground as he'd been trained to on a hunt, he made his way to the door. He peeked out and noticed that the guards had wandered off to hunt. They always did, even though they weren't supposed to.
Coast is clear in the room. Come on!
His voice hissed softly through the silence. Had the church been fully in tact, it would have easily echoed louder, but holes littered the Starpeak, making it much more susceptible to normal ranges of voice. Then, he moved his way closer to the way out and almost balked when a cat's shadow landed on him. He looked up at the gigantic tabby, nearly twice the size of his small frame. But the cat was too dark to be Iceclan; THe rogues were clearly trying to fight back.
Let me at him and I won't hurt you, runt.
Cadell snarled at the jab at his size, but cut it off, though his fur still stayed standing on end.
Take back that one word, and I might not stop you. But kill one and another will came after him. As it is with the other clans. You know this.
The voices of the other Iceclan cats paws running made the rogue cower a little more. Cadell almost, almost, felt bad for him. But he was watching for what they would see in him much more closely. It would not be cowardice.
If you run, I will not kill you. But if you don't, and make me seem afraid by doing so, I will have no choice.
He whispered, eyes softening so that the usual evil in his eyes faded. The cat growled something about Cadell being 'different than the rest', and turned to run. Cadell chased after him for a a few stride, then stopped and hissed viciously, as if he had actually been chasing him off. His reputation in Iceclan would certainly go even higher after this, but he wasn't quite so sure that was what he wanted anymore.

Icerose watched as Cadell went out into the room. Then when he spoke to her she followed as quickly and quietly as she could, but stopped suddenly when Cadell stopped. She looked over as well, and saw the tabby, and her fur bristled. She glared at the stranger but let Cadell handle him. She watched as Cadell seemingly 'chased' the tabby off. When the guards noticed her, she could just say they were hunting together and watched the tabby go in the church. She would of course have to wait for Cadell to speak to see what story he told them. She nodded to herself and then padded over to Cadell. Though she would rather have killed the leader right then and there she held back, though she still gave his sleeping form a withering glare. Then he face was a mask of calm.

They didn't even say a word, but sent a glare his way. He didn't need their words to know what they wanted.
We were hunting, and I caught scent of an unfamiliar cat. I followed him here and we leaped in between him and our leader. Icerose would have helped, but I told her not to. He was weak, anyway.
The guards purred softly, happy with this response.
I believe we will modify it so he thinks we were there as well, but he will be pleased Cadell. You aren't just useful as an assassin. I wouldn't be surprised to be answering to you someday. Now, leave. The leader will not want his talk disturbed anymore than it already is.
He dipped his head in acceptance and trotted away, knowing Icerose would follow. He didn't stop until they were good and alone, and then he began pacing. He normally would have killed the tom, but he had let him run. What is happening to me? Unfortunately for him, it didn't stay an empty question, as it was answered.
You were not born to be like them, Cadell. Go speak to Skyclan's leader as soon as possible, she is the closest.
He growled at Battlecry's voice and batted at his ear, as if it would help. The last thing he heard before the sounds of the surrounding area invaded once more was the old medicine cat's chuckling. He turned to Icerose.
Tell them to get the hell out of my head! They're giving me a freaking headache!

Icerose looked at Cadell as he turned to her. Her eyes said she thought he was insane. I can't tell them tog et out of your head! Theres like a million cats up there! she said.
Besides they wouldn't listne to me. Their StarClan remember? She then leaped ahead of him and then turned back to face him. You want to race back? she said smiling. Come on it'll be fun! I wanna test my speed against the great assasion! Besides it'll get your mind off StarClan being in your head.
She stuck her tongue out at him then raced off, working her legs to almost their full speed.

He growled softly at her response, and then further at her childishness. His ears flicked back in annoyance, and shook his head roughly before smoothing down some fur.
We don't have to be fast to be assassins. We need fast reactions. There's a difference. So, no, I won't race. Anyway, you're Skyclan born. You're a natural runner.
He replied, forcing himself to calm down. He started walking ahead of her, then suddenly spun, knocked her off her paws, and pinned her, teeth near her throat before pulling back a few minutes later.
That's the first move we learn. If you know someone is about to attack you from behind, you pull the first move. Throws them off guard and give you an easy advantage. Remember that.
That would be as close to admitting he somewhat cared about her well being as she would get. Very few assassins ever passed on their moves, even the simplest ones, unless to an apprentice of the assassination arts.

Icerose let out a squeak of surprise as Cadell over took her and flipped her over. Her heart beat fast as she felt his hot breath on her neck. She stayed in that postion for a few seconds after he let her up, then rolled over and stood up. She shook out her fur, getting the stray grass on it off. I'll be sure to remember that. she said shakely. Icerose really hoped she wouldn't have to go up against Cadell in her life time, or any other assasion for that matter.
And I'm SeaClan born. I'm a good swimmer not runner. she replied quietly. She kept a little behind him as she said this, for she knew Cadell had a bit of a temper sometimes.

Then I obviously heard wrong...
He was thinking as he said this. Unlike many cats, the water had always fascinated him, entranced him by how it changed like the wind, but carried so much more power. It came, went, sustained life, and destroyed life all together. He dropped back beside her again, and looked over, actually nervous.
Could...Could you maybe...teach me? To swim that is.
He felt his skin getting a bit warm as his fur stood up, as if there was a reason to be embarrassed, though there wasn't. To make it a fair trade in his mind, he continued.
I can teach you some things that I've learnt, in return. I mean, if you want to.

Icerose tipped her head to the side when she heard Cadell's request. Then she grinned and bonded forward to stand beside Cadell.
Sure I'll show you! But you won't get it right off the bat you know. she replied. She circled Cadell for a moment and then stopped beside him again, her saphire eyes studying him.
You know your a weird one. she said. Your an assasion, but your destined to save the Clans from this threat. You like water when most cats hate it. And you get embarrassed about wanting to learn how to swim.
She studied him for a moment longer then smiled. It was a gentle smile, with her eyes sparkling. But thats why I love you Cadell. she said quietly. Then as her fur rippled and turned a whitish pink, she licked him and then bounded away.
