(alright sorry guys this is so late ^_^')
The sun beat down on the camp of StormClan, most cats were inside there assigned dens, but the fire and white colored she cat was about to call them out. Jumping up onto the High Rock she sat down and curled her tail around her paws. She sat tall and proud, the leader of her Clan, Taking a deep breath she yowled, I call all the cats of StormClan to High Rock for a Clan Meeting!
It was once again time for the apprenticeship of the kits. They only had two, but these kits would still become warriors. She had seen the process many a time before in her past life and this one. A young bouncy kit would become an apprentice and learn the ways of the warrior. They may make mistakes yes, but don't we all? After their training and their warrior name was given to them, they would become responsible warriors one way or another. Her deep blue eyes watched the cats gathering below her. It was time.

Pinekit had been dozing off when, faded though it was, the call of Brightstar reached his ears. It took him a few seconds to process what the call was, and what it likely meant, but as soon as he did, his eyes shot open. He scrambled to his paws and peeked out. When a few of the warriors glanced over and gave him a nod, he knew it was for him and Arrowkit. He dashed out to be near the front of the crowd, eyes lit up with excitement and anticipation, his tail tip twitch anxiously, waiting for his brother to join him.

Dewflower was in the warrior's den, quietly grooming her tortoiseshell pelt. Her ears pricked as her leader's familiar mew rang throughout the camp. For a brief moment she had blanked out on what the meeting could be for, but then her mind brought forth an image of the two kits, Pinekit and Arrowkit, who she realized were now old enough to become apprentices.
Luckily she had just finished with her fur, which was now free of bits of moss and dirt, and her slender body made it's way into the camp, finding a seat not too close to High Rock, but close enough. She sat down and wrapped her tail around her paws, green eyes searching for the kits who were to be apprenticed. She waited silently, pondering who their mentors would be.

Scarletsnow held him down with one paw and licked the top of his head as he struggled to get free. "Just one more stroke," she murmured. Arrowkt sighed. Why did she have to mother him now? Of all times! Finally she let him up. They padded outside the nursery together and Arrowkit felt a small satisfaction as Scarletsnow saw Pinekit's muddy pelt. She shook her head and drew the two kits to her side. "I am so proud of you both. And your dad would be too," she added with a sigh of sadness. "I know you will make the clan proud. Now get up there!"

Hearing the call from her leader for a clan meeting Lilysong exited her den. At first she was confused about what the meeting could be about since she was so busy with her work, but withing a few seconds it dawned on her. Pinekit and Arrowkit were to become apprentices. It made her smile inside at the two mischievous cats, remembering the day they snuck into her den. It wasn't long after that she talked to Brightstar about Arrrowkit wanting to be a medicine cat (I know this didn't end up happening, but lets pretend it did, k?). She was so happy to finally be getting an apprentice, sometimes it was lonely when she was the only one in her clan that wasn't a warrior. Swiftly she walked toward the high rock so she was close to accept Arrowpaw as her apprentice. She didn't want to look to eager, but she couldn't hold it back.

Shadowflame calmly emerged from the dark warrior's den and padded slowly to a spot near the High Rock. A few strokes of his tongue caused the fur on his shoulder to lay flat. Tilting his head slightly to block the sun from his eyes, he looked up at their leader, Moonstar. A slight smirk spread across his face as he watched the excited kits awaiting their ceremony.
His light green eyes turned to Dewflower, watching her as she seemed to be contemplating something. Shaking his head slightly, he stared back down toward his gray paws and wondered which two lucky warriors would get a new apprentice.

Dewflower's eyes softened as she watched the excited kits, so eager to become warriors. She remembered when she was like that, endlessly entergetic, mischevious, and sometimes dangerously open to any cat she met. Lost in her memories, she metally shook herself and stayed concentrated on the meeting.
Sensing someone looking at her, she caught Shadowflame's gaze. Instead of sitting alone, she decided to pad over to the gray warrior and sat herself beside him. So, would you want an apprentice?" she asked, wondering how well she herself would do with one.

For once, he was particularly thinking of anything and just watching the way the light breeze brushed his fur, wishing it was just a little stronger to relieve him of the harsh sun against his pelt. As he stared at it paws absentmindedly, it was no surprise that the approach of Dewflower surprised him slightly, causing him to look up quickly.
A smile spread across Shadowflame's face and he tilted his head slightly in a nod to acknowledge her question. "I think it'd be interesting to have an apprentice. What about you? Is their a longing to be a mentor burning in your heart?" He gazed at her, his light green eyes staring directly into her own emerald ones in interest.

She sat quietly for a moment, still thinking. "I want one, I'm just not sure how well I'd do. Or maybe I'm just afraid I wouldn't be able to discipline well enough, or I'd screw something up..." She trailed off, feeling her face heat up. She realized she had rambled, and probably made herself sound dumb.
"I worry too much," she mewed, with a slight shake of her head. "But if you push away my fear of failure, then yes, I would love an apprentice."
[ooc; sorry, it's kinda short]

Taking a side-glance at her, Shadowflame nodded and meowed softly.
I think everyone is afraid of messing up, especially if they've never had an apprentice before.
Chancing it, he leaned over and nudged her shoulder lightly with a slight smile. His emerald eyes gazed into hers as he spoke.
I bet you'll be a great mentor, and don't forget, all the other warrior will probably be more than willing to help you out.
Flicking his tail, he turned his eyes away nervously and faced toward the leader as he wondered if she would speak to him once more.

As he nudged her, she noticed how his eyes were similar to her own. She flicked her ears at his words, glad that he didn't mention how she sounded like a mouse-brain. A cool wind circled the camp, ruffling her fur a bit. A twinge of annoyance ran through her, but she ignored it.
Instead, she turned to the tom again, and hoping that he wasn't tired of her constant talking, asked, "So what are you doing after the meeting?" Friendly tone, curious, casual. At least, that's how she hoped it had sounded. She forced her eyes not to wander from his, to keep from studying her paws.

Turning back to look at her, glad she was still speaking with him, he grinned slightly. Nodding his head, he replied quickly.
I was planning on going on a short hunt, would you like to accompany me?
His paws shuffled lightly as he waited nervously, wondering if she would want to hunt with him. Letting his gaze drift, he glanced up at the mid-afternoon sky, noticing how blue it was, and hoping it would stay that way so they could hunt. Directing his eyes to stare into hers once more, he smiled encouragingly, silently asking StarClan for her to say yes to his invitation.

His question jerked a sudden, unwanted memory back to the surface of her mind, and she fought to push it away before it influenced her decision. That wouldn't happen again. Besides, she and Shadowflame were almost the same age. And it's not like anything was going to repeat from her past. That was over. She needed to focus.
"Sounds like fun," she said with a casual smile. She saw him looking at the sky, and followed his gaze, noticing the nice weather. "Seems like a good day for hunting."

-mkay...taking over Brightstar for Whitey(with permission) and Pinekit is going to need a mentor. Dewflower or Shadowflame. Lemme know if your willing-
This sunhigh, we gather to name two new kits as apprentices. Arrowkit, from now until you earn your full name, you will be known as Arrowpaw. You have been chosen to follow the path of a medicine cat, so your mentor will be Lilysong. May Starclan help you learn determination and fairness during your apprenticeship.
Brightstar watched, proud of the kits as any good leader should be, but even prouder of her clan as a whole, which continued to grow and flourish as a clan should. She glanced back to her warriors, searching their ranks for the one she had chosen for Pinekit. Spotting the warrior, she smiled slightly, and waiting for a few moments.

[ If Infinity doesn't want Dewflower to be a mentor, I won't mind being Pinekit's mentor. ]
Just as Shadowflame opened his mouth to reply, their leader, Brighstar, spoke to the clan. Tilting his head gently forward, he acknowledged her acceptance and smiled softly before turning to Brightstar and calling Arrowkit's name, glad that Lilysong would have an apprentice to help her with her medicine cat duties.
Patiently waving his tail in anticipation, he wondered who would be given the priviledge to mentor Pinekit. Glancing at Dewflower, he knew she'd be a great mentor, and that any apprentice would love to learn from her. Introspecting, he believed he'd be a good enough mentor, but wasn't sure if he would be perfect, then again, no one was, so there was no reason to be worried.
