o.o.c. well since i was able to get on earlier in the day I thought I would put up the first post, but I can't guarantee that I will be on again later, I'll try though.
Petalstar walked into the clearing and looked around, they appeared to be the first ones here. She remembered last time they were the last cats there, maybe next time they will be again. She turned to look back at her clan mates who she had chosen to come. Some looked at little down, probably thinking they were late again or there was some sort of bad news, to bring brightness to the group she gave them a smile to show that it was alright. Feeling that it was alright to leave them to find a spot she went to the front and jumped on top of the Clanrock. Now they had to wait.

Hazelleaf choose her usual spot, near the outside edge of the clearing and sat down, wrapping her tail around her paws and licking a leaf out of long brown fur. It had clung when they had past through the brush into the clearing.
Before long, Falconstar arrived, not hesitating or waiting before running down and leaping up onto the rock with the long take off and sure-footed landing only a Skyclan cat could master. She stopped as soon as she landed and spun, her ears pricked up in pride as the three new apprentices entered.
Firepaw paused, eyes wide with awe at the graceful leap Falconstar made, and then ran in, his calico and tabby pelt shining softly in the full moon's light. He mingled somewhat cautiously with Seaclan, wondering if there were any other apprentices.

It was as though she was already there, just waiting for Falconstar. The white, lithe shape of the ShadeClan leader made her way half-way gracefully up to the top of the Clan rock. It wasn't like she hadn't done it before, it was just not something she normally did. Her eyes scanned the over the clan cats, looking for someone in particular. But she didn't see him and turned to the other leaders instead. "Good evening, friends," Moonstar whispered, "If times call for such a term once more. I would like nothing more than to be able to call you my friends once more, like when times were simpler. When we were but apprentices." Her green and blue eyes misted over with the memory of the past, but the look was soon lost as she returned her gaze to the cats below.
---
Amberpaw, as he was called, padded over to the apprentices and noted a new one. A tom in particular. "You're new, aren't you?" he sneered, "SkyClan is so desparate that they're apprenticing younger than seven moons?" The golden tabby laughed and padded away, glad that he got in that little bit of teasing. It's not like he could tease Foampaw.
---
Cougarheart wove his way through the throng of cats, his pelt barely brushing the cats around him. He longed to be with Sparrowflight, his mate, but she was needed elsewhere. It was all for the best. They still hadn't told his sister, Falconstar, about it, and the tom, in truth was dreading it.

-Foampaw Foampaw followed her leader curiously into the giant clearing filled with cats. This was her second Gathering, but she wasn't any less amazed. She began to recognize a few cats, some whose names she couldn't remember, and also saw many who she was unfamiliar with. Unable to stand still, she walked around, searching for a Clanmate. She saw Amberpaw teasing a SkyClan apprentice, who looked young, and padded over to him. She nudged him with her shoulder.
"That was a bit rude, you know," she nagged, trying not to grin at him. Her eyes scanned the clearing. "See anyone you know?"-Nightstorm Nightstorm padded confidently into the clearing, glancing at the full moon and then searching for an empty place to sit. Almost invisible in the shadows, he sat near the edge of it all, where only his yellow eyes could give himself away. Not that he was hiding, no, he just was more in the mood to listen than talk.

Amberpaw grinned widely to Foampaw. "No," he replied, scanning the sea of pelts, "Just you. And Petalstar." The tabby tom nudged his clanmate with his shoulder and flicked his tail. "What about you? See anyone you know?" he asked, his amber eyes glittering in the moonlight, "Besides, I was only teasing. He's a runt! He looks younger than his moons." Smiling again, Amberpaw looked up to the leaders and sighed. "I want to be up there one day," he murmured, half to himself now, "It would be a great honor. StarClan willing, I will be up there one day."

Arrowpaw unsteadily limped in to the gathering, drifting slightly away from Lilysong. He was in awe that the clans could come together peacefully like this and he smiled at the content Starclan surely felt when the fighting had ceased. A larger golden apprentice commented on his size but before Arrowpaw could respond, he felt his brother and mentor head in an opposite direction. Fuming, he sat next to Pinepaw. At least he didn't notice my limp, he realized in relief.

Sparrowflight found a place near the back quietly. It was always unusual for her to speak at the Gatherings but was pleased she had been asked to come. There was no doubt she would have guarded her camp wholeheartedly but it was nice to see how the other clans were doing. For battle strategies of course. She could see Cougarheart among many other pelts. She wished so desperately she could be near him but it was for the best. Startled, Sparrowflight caught a scent next to her. A she-cat was quietly sitting near her, picking at the leafs tangled in her long fur. The deputy thought she recognized her from the previous Gathering. Hazel something...she mused.

-Foampaw Foampaw nodded her head, then said, "But I pretty much only know their names." She glanced at him, curious amusement sparkling in her eyes. "You would want to be leader? That would be moons from now, I mean, how are you sure that's what you want?" She barely had plans for the next day! For a moment, she quietly pondered what it would be like to know you had a specific goal and purpose in life, something you knew you wanted and had to work hard to achieve. She didn't know what she wanted. To be happy? Maybe that was it, but it didn't seem as spectacular as being leader of a Clan.
Foampaw was beginning to feel anxious for the Gathering to start, and kept looking at the leaders with her big, impatient eyes. With an exaggerated sigh, she sat down near the apprentices, one of them the tom Amberpaw had been teasing. She waited to see if Amberpaw would come too, and noticed that the apprentice was small. He can't help it though, she thought, sympathy welling up in her heart. She didn't want the apprentice to know that she was looking at him, and kept her eyes on Amberpaw.

Pinepaw settled down next to Arrowkit, looking large compared to his brother, but fur bristling with a mix of being prepared to defend his brother and the excitement. He licked his lips in anticipation and shuffled in spot.
Firepaw held back a slight hiss at the golden apprentice, knowing full well that seven moons was late for apprenticeship. He resorted to flattening his ears in an annoyed way, and then ignoring him. Seaclan was so full of themselves. Of course, they were probably full literally too, what with the river and constant fish supply, but he didn't bother thinking about that.
Hazelleaf finished and looked up to see there was a cat nearby this time, though there wasn't usually. The ear closest to the Skyclan deputy twitched slightly, and she turned her head.
It's a nice night for a gathering.

Petalstar nodded in agreement with Falconstar's statement, remembering the days when they were apprentices. Just like the ones now, carefree, innocent and excited to be warriors, except that it wasn't the same. They unlike other apprentices talked to themselves in their head, to be put in simplest terms. Now instead of being carefree she was surrounded by worries. Where was Brightstar? She didn't know why she was anxious, all she knew was that she was. __________________________________________
Rainpaw stayed close to her mentor not sure if she wanted to make friends with the other apprentices. She considered sitting with her siblings, but she could only see Firepaw, unsure of where Songpaw had gone. She wished that she and her brother could get along somewhat so she didn't have to be the only apprentice sitting with her mentor. She wondered if any of the apprentices here were also medicine cats. Bringing up the courage inside her she decided to talk to another apprentice. After seeing that one of the Seaclan apprentices being rude she decided against them and went to the Stormclan ones instead. From a distance she noticed that the one had a limp and decided she would got talk to him, he would probably be nice. "Hi, I'm Rainpaw." She introduced herself.

Arrowpaw almost leaped in to the air as the other apprentice surprised him. He hadn't been expecting anyone and was unsure if she had seen his early confrontation. Positioning himself so his injured leg was tucked behind him, trying desperatly to make his handicapp invisible. "Um hi," he responded warily. "I'm Arrowpaw." He waited, expecting her to comment on his injury.
------------------------------------------------------------------
Sparrowflight caught the warrior's ear flick in the corner of her eye. "It is, what clan are you from?" She asked conversationally. The deputy was not typically one for talking but perhaps it would benefit if she knew a cat from another clan. She didn't even know the other deputies!

When Arrowpaw jumped in surprise when she spoke it surprised Rainpaw. His reaction almost made her jump in return, but luckily she held it back without anyone knowing her reaction. When he told her his name she wasn't sure what to think, she didn't think she had ever heard a cat named Arrow before and wonder if there ever had been another cat named that. After some thought she decided that she liked it, it was unique, just like he seemed to be, a perfect match. Not wanting to be rude she decided not to mention his limp, if he wanted to talk about it he was welcome, but she didn't want to come off as unfriendly.
"So Arrowpaw is this your first gathering too?" she asked in the politest way.

"Um yes," he replied cautiously. She seemed to be very friendly but as usual, the tiny tom was on the edge. He glanced over at Pinepaw but his brother seemed rather absorbed in the pre-gathering formalities. "I am a medicine cat apprentice. And I'm guessing your training to be warrior." Arrowpaw glanced at her lithe and healthy body. She didnt have a crippled limb to work with. She had probably never been the smallest in her clan. She probably didn't have Starclan breathing in her ear. As if they could sense his thoughts, a slight breeze rustled the leaves on a nearby tree.

It appeared that just about every apprentice was here for the first time, which was surprising in a way that so many cats and been born around the same time. Rainpaw didn't find it surprising that he was training to be a medicine cat, but she didn't think it was because of his limp, he seemed more to be on who wanted to learn the ways of a medicine cat, like herself. When he mentioned that he thought she was training as a warrior she almost laughed.
"No, I'm not training to be a warrior," she corrected him. "I'm training to be a medicine cat like you, it felt more like my calling then learning to hunt and fight, unlike my brother."

Seaclan. I'm their medicine cat.
She replied back with a soft purr to her tone. Despite her mentor's death moons ago, and the pain still in her heart from it, nothing would ever take the pride away from her for her accomplishments at saving many of her clan mates. Even the most simple scratch can kill if it becomes infected badly enough, after all, and Hazelleaf knew this. She racked her brains for the name to match the cat, but considering she rarely saw her, let alone talked to her, the deputy's name wouldn't seem to come to tongue.
Pardon my rudeness, but I can't seem to remember your name.

Arrowpaw's pelt stiffed in shock. This young she-cat was built with such delicate features, he was almost positive she would be an excellent hunter. Then again, even if he did not have the handicapp, Arrowpaw had known he would be a medicine cat. Perhaps she did too. But he would never ask...too embarassing to have voices in your head. So the apprentice remained silent.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sparrowflight dipped her head in a polite greeting. "I am Sparrowflight, deputy of Skyclan." She could sense that the other cat also did not feel the need for idle talk. However, she did want to know the medicine cat's name. They were truly the only other cats she felt comfortable around. "Pardon my asking, what is your name?"
