"I'm not really sure why I want to be leader," Amberpaw admitted, "I know that it is a lot of responibility, but it just calls to me." Shrugging his shoulders, the golden pelted tom followed Foampaw and sat down beside her. "What about you?" he asked, "What do you want to do in the future?"
---
Moonstar gazed at the clans, her eyes wary of them. It wasn't that she was afraid of them. She was afraid for them. Her talk with Cadell had given her the tiniest amount of hope for them. But looking out at them, seeing all those dark pelts, scared her. She knew the ways of that false clan. She knew that they would kill er clanmates without a moments hesitation.

Foampaw's head tilted to the side. It was one of those rare moments where she actually thought before blurting out whatever came to mind.
"I want to be an apprentice my mentor is proud of, and the other warriors wish they had me. I want to be a warrior that kits can look up to, that others come to me for advice. I want to be the best I can for SeaClan." And I want to fall in love, she thought. But of course she couldn't add the last part, for risk of being ridiculed. No, the she-cat kept that to herself. She'd already talked a lot and let the tom get a glance at her dreams. Maybe she already sounded too silly, like a kit in the nursery hoping to become a legend.

As the silence grew between them Rainpaw began to feel nervous. It was so much easier when they were talking, freely telling each other about one another, but when he said nothing in return to her statement it began to get awkward. She didn't like this silence between them, when they were talking they were friends, when they weren't they were strangers. But how did she get him to talk again she wondered. IT was nice to have an apprentice she could talk to, she didn't generally get to talk to her siblings any more and it made her lonely. Turning her eyes away she began to think. By now the clearing was crowded with cats and noise as everyone began to interact with cats from other clans. All of them were freely able to talk, but most of them had met before. She wondered how her siblings were doing and and idea came to mind. "Arrowpaw tell me about yourself. Whats you family like?" she meowed hoping to get the conversation going.

-Whitey's caught up with stuff, gave me permission to temporarily play her cats, so let finally get this thing moving-
Hazelleaf.
She replied, glancing around as she wondered where on earth Brightstar was. Usually the Stormclan leader wasn't this late. Of course, just as she thought this, the mostly-white she-cat finally came into the clearing.
Brightstar leaped up next to the others and dipped her head apologetically.
Sorry about being late. One of the elders had a stomach ache, wouldn't let me leave until Whiteyes promised to take care of him while Lilysong was gone with me.
It would have been, normally, between them, a story to talk about, laugh a little, and to share similar experiences. But now the gathering was running late, so Falconstar, despite being somewhat nostalgic, stepped forward and let out a yowl to silence the group of cats. She backed up after, though, and motioned for Moonstar to go first.

Amberpaw fell silent as the yowl of Falconstar rang out across the throng of cats that he was in. His golden eyes danced in the moonlight, proud to see all of the leaders there, his ambition to be up there himself one day at the forefront of his mind.
--
The white she-cat with the two-toned eyes stepped from the line and bowed her head to the clans below her. "Prey in ShadowClan is running well, despite the leafbare chill," she said loudly, "As IceClan is a continued threat, our patrols remain vigilant on all borders. Thank you." And with those words, Moonstar stepped back and motioned for Petalstar to continue the Gathering.

With a nod Petalstar stepped forward to address the cats present. "Prey continues to run well in Seaclan, and even more so with green-leaf on its way. Since the threat of Iceclan seems to be continuing I have decided to follow other clans lead and increase patrols as well." With that she stepped back, the news was just as surprising to her own clan as it was to the others. She felt she could no longer be the only clan not protecting her borders, she didn't want to appear easy for an attack, she hoped that it was a wise decision.
o.o.c. I actually have no idea whats going on with Iceclan I should probably read all those posts shouldn't I?

-uh, well, short version is is that Cadell and Icerose are part of Iceclan but plotting to bring it down, and that's about the only major Iceclan stuff going on. There was a conversation between Spiritbreath and Snowstorm, but I don't think it was about anything too important...you'd have to skim through it to find out though.-
Falconstar took her turn next and stepped forward, catching the eyes of a few clanmates, refusing to look at the three apprentices. Sparrowflight had seen through her, and she knew that the other three leaders would too if she so much as glanced at the three.
Skyclan has less prey than normal, but that has been expected in leafbare. We have not spotted Iceclan approaching yet, but continue our increased patrols just in case.
She didn't need to flick her tail to ask Brightstar forward--She was hte only leader left to speak.
Stormclan is doing well, and this leafbare has been much kinder to us than the last, leaving us with more prey than expected. We have two new apprentices with us today. Pinepaw and Arrowpaw.
