His pale body inched forward. Deadstar looked at the commotion within his camp. There was barely none. He really hadn't an idea why he became leader if everyone was just so cruel and couldn't understand what clan mates were. He wanted to call them all losers, not warriors. A crooked frown remained upon his lips. He really had to stop ranting in his mind or he would explode. He was leader of this clan, not a torturer to all who were members of it. He then left camp to hunt. Maybe some fresh air would get to his head? The air was cold once he was out of the camp. It felt refreshing to his thick pelt. Deadstar sighed, he finally had the nerve to sit down. He loved his clan but the question was if they were a true clan. He shook his head. Of course they were a clan!

CADELL but ii'm on the outsiide and ii'm lookiing iin ii can see through you see your true colors
The cats around the entrance mainly backed away carefully. It was a known fact Cadell was dangerous, and you could never quite figure out what he was thinking. So it was always safer to give him room. His eyes locked on Deadstar, the very leader who had sent him to kill yet another cat. After all, that was what assassins did. But no longer. Little would anyone know, but Cadell was beginning to think otherwise. The only who knew why was Icerose, and he was trusting her to keep her mouth shut. The cat he had been supposed to kill was safely hidden away on the other side of the clan territories. Thankful, nonetheless, and owing Cadell a huge favour.
Cadell stopped a good two tail lengths from the Iceclan leader and crouched low in respect, an action he did naturally even though that respect was slowly fading.
It is done, Deadstar. The rogue is dead.

(and since I'm temporarily playing him, I guess I have to continue it -_- darn)
Deadstar turned his head toward Cadell. He flicked his tail, indicating him to rise. Good. he meowed, sasified. That cat was sure to give us trouble if he had lived. Thank you for a good job once again Cadell.
Deadstar had no clue that he himself, was living in a false world of clanhood. His 'clan' wasn't truly a Clan at all. They didn't follow the warrior code and though StarClan had sent them to become the new fifth Clan as SkyClan had once been to the Clans of old. They had no medicine cat and killed every dark furred kit. No, this wasn't a Clan, though Deadstar may think so in his own little fansasy. BloodClan had convinced him and taken hold of his heart. Some par tof him knew this, but was to weak to break free. If he could, then maybe just maybe would he be able to join the future.

CADELL but ii'm on the outsiide and ii'm lookiing iin ii can see through you see your true colors
I live only to serve your wishes, and Bloodclan's.
Cadell replied dutifully, automatically almost, as was required of one of his rank. He knew that it would be acceptable, even if slightly robotic in response. It was a trained statement, one that had been requested, supposedly, by Bloodclan, as a renewing oath of faith after doing a requested assassination.
Is there any other cat which troubles you? Speak the word, and they shall trouble you no more.
Despite this calm and peaceful facade, he was raging inside at having to say such words now. It wasn't the killing that bothered him--It was the fact that he was doing so for one who seemed to care nothing for life. As if life was meaningless, there simply to be taken by those who found meaning in the ice cold wind and the bloodbath that it brought with it.

Raising his head higher and nodding toward Cadell to acknowledge his first statement, he contemplated about other cats he wished dead. A light breeze caught his thick fur and caused some of it to lay in odd directions without his notice before he replied to the assassin before him.
At the moment, Cadell, it seems to me that no cat appears to be any immediate threat. For the time being, you may go about doing whatever you may choose until I require your services once more. His bright emerald eyes met Cadells and held his gaze. Is there anything more you wish to relay to me, Cadell?

CADELL but ii'm on the outsiide and ii'm lookiing iin ii can see through you see your true colors
Cadell found his training as an assassin--to remain emotionless, no matter the circumstances--was paying off once again, and he found himself thanking Starclan for it. He blinked his own green eyes calmly, as if nothing in the world was different than it seemed. As if he wasn't going to be a traitor in the coming moons.
Nothing of importance.
He rose from his respectful crouch, that he had nearly forgotten he was doing it had come so naturally, and began to back away, but then stopped. The question he had in mind couldn't hurt if it was asked. He decided it might be a good chance.
I was wondering, though. As an assassin, I do risk my life with every mission. I am not complaining--It is the life I will lead for as long as out ancestors see fit--But due to this, and the fact I am the only one of my training among the clan, I thought it, perhaps, might be a good idea to train one of the warriors to my ways, as we have no apprentices. Thus, if one day I fail, the arts I have been taught are not lost forever, and you shall still have an assassin at your side.

Surprise flashed across Deadstar's emerald eyes before disappearing as he tilted his head back to look at the sky--at Starclan. Staring up before looking down toward Cadell, straight into his eyes once more, he nodded thoughtfully.
You're right, Cadell. Though I have no doubt in your abilities, perhaps it is the right idea to train another the way you were trained.
He paused, flicking his tail back and forth slowly as he mused about which cat would be trained. Curious to see Cadell's own point of view on this matter, he decided to question the assassin.
So, Cadell, tell me...If you wish to train another, which cat do you think should take your place, should you fail a mission?

CADELL but ii'm on the outsiide and ii'm lookiing iin ii can see through you see your true colors
The one most likely to excel at it is Snowstorm. Of course, a way to make Icerose more loyal to the clan might be to place her with me. Everyone knows she'd do just about anything to spend time by my side, and she will seek revenge on Iceclan for what they did to her mother if she isn't kept appeased. But the choice is entirely yours, Deadstar.
If he had meant to train an assassin to kill cats opposing the clan, he would have left the entire bit about Icerose out. But deep inside his hidden thoughts, he knew if another stood loyal at his side, it would make it easier to overpower the clan and change its ways. Though Icerose would do it willingly, she had not the skill for it. So, he found a way to weave in the option of training her. That way he wouldn't have to find time in his busy schedule of fake assassinations, training an apprentice, and meeting with the leaders of the clans on a vague, not so regular basis.

Icerose...
Deadstar contemplated silently, wondering if what Cadell had told him is the truth. He knew Icerose could turn on them for what had happened to her mother, but the question was, would she be able to come out the victor, if she chose to attack? Narrowing his eyes, he watched Cadell for any sign of a conspiracy forming in the assassin's mind. It seemed to be useless, though, considering he was trained to hide his emotions all too well.
Perhaps Icerose is the better choice, if it could keep her in check and restrained from attacking the clan..
His whiskers twitched lightly as he wondered if Cadell was scheming. Even though Deadstar was starting to doubt his own clan, he should not let it show.
Yes, Icerose. She will do nicely, as no other should suspect her to be an assassin. Once her training is complete, I can have both of you do individual missons as well.

CADELL but ii'm on the outsiide and ii'm lookiing iin ii can see through you see your true colors
His training and his heritage made it easy not to smile at his leader's choice. Instead, he dipped his head as a sign he respected Deadstar's decision. Inwardly, he grinned to himself. A reason to train her now. The one he knew he could trust with everything. He never would have trusted her before, when he had been loyal to the Ice, but now...He forced himself to focus, before Deadstar noticed the hesitation.
Shall I tell her now, or would you prefer to tell her yourself?
He had raised his head back up to level his gaze with Deadstar's.

Deadstar glanced back toward the camp entrance he had left not too long ago and then focused on Cadell once more.
I will tell her privately, with you there as well, and then announce it to the...clan..myself.
He rose to his paws and stared straight ahead toward the camp. Flicking his tail in signal to Cadell to follow.
Before we tell her, Cadell, is that all you have to share with me? Nothing more, nothing less?
His emerald eyes darkened and his ears pricked foward slightly, as he finally glanced toward Cadell to see if he should falter in his façade.

CADELL but ii'm on the outsiide and ii'm lookiing iin ii can see through you see your true colors
Cadell's ear flickered to the side as he thought he heard something, glancing over, distracted from his leader. He froze, eyes wide, at what he saw. It was translucent, so no doubt a cat who had died, but it was black, with just a single paw white. And the wounds upon the small tom were horrendous. A bone collar was around his neck, and as soon as his eyes caught that, Cadell knew who he was looking at. Scourge.
Come back to the darkness, Starwalker. There is no place for your hatred in the light. Come back, and rejoice in the hunt as you once did.
The cat faded, leaving Cadell's fur bristled in surprise, and in horror. For a moment, it even showed on his face, until he realized and covered it up instinctively. He shook his head to clear it, or try to, and felt relief at the comforting pelt of his own guider, Battlecry. His voice, taken in the moment, came back as the silent reassurances from the late Shadeclan medicine cat reached his ears alone. He knew he couldn't hide this from Deadstar, the leader would have seen his reaction at something that wasn't there. He reworded it, though, so it would appear to be the first time it had happened. He was grateful for the lies that came upon a whim.
What... Did you see that?
He let his face show a bit of shock, which wasn't a lie, but the slight panic that crept through his voice, the disbelief that joined it, that was the lie. Now he could only hope that his deception would continue to work.

Deadstar's eyes darkened as he narrowed them slowly. It was unusual for an assassin to show their emotions like this, especially those of shock. Perhaps there was a reason as to why Cadell was so nervous that he was seeing things that did not exist.
Cadell...what is it you saw exactly?
Suspicion lapped at Deadstar's voice, as the leader had neither heard nor scented anything nearby. Maybe this was a distraction so Cadell could attack. Shooting a glance at the camp nearby cast out that idea, as it would be near suicide to attack a leader alone so close to camp where his should-be loyal clanmates lay.
Crouching slightly, Deadstar eyed Cadell, awaiting the reply from the assassin before him. It was better to be prepared for anything, and Deadstar would fight to his own death to live, even if his clan would choose to turn on him.

CADELL but ii'm on the outsiide and ii'm lookiing iin ii can see through you see your true colors
He eyes stayed fixed vaguely on the spot where Scourge had been, grateful for the invisible comfort of Starclan. He pretended to fight for control of his emotions and finally gain it, though the whole time he was showing exactly what would be expected.
A cat...black, with a white paw. Just like how they always described Scourge, from the days of Bloodclan. And he just...faded away...
He spoke as if in disbelief, though the seeing of cats that weren't there was certainly no longer uncommon for him. His ears flickered, as if nervous, before he let his gaze travel back over to the leader.
But they wouldn't show themselves to me, would they? I mean, I'm just an assassin.
